We handle personal and privacy sensitive data with care within the boundaries of the Wet bescherming persoonsgegevens (Dutch Data Protection Act) and the Telecommunicatiewet (Telecommunication Act). In this Privacy & Cookie Statement we inform you about the way we process personal data; for which purposes we process personal data, how you can exercise your privacy rights and other information about how we handle personal data. Personal data are data that can identify an individual or can link to an individual.

This Privacy & Cookie Statement is applicable to all activities on all websites and apps (further: ‘Websites’ and ‘Apps’) of enterprises, brands and trademarks of Vrumona B.V., (further: ‘Vrumona). Personal data can be exchanged between group companies of Vrumona.

For which purposes processes Vrumona personal data?

Vrumona processes personal data for:

  • Realization and execution of agreements, such as facilitating and finalizing product and service purchases in our web shop;
  • Service purposes, such as to reach out to you and to answer your questions we received via our Consumer Service (Consumentenservice);
  • Marketing purposes, such as:
    • Promotional purposes. This includes amongst other the execution of promotional actions and campaigns, sending newsletters, showing offers and information, sending user information, service messages or other electronic messages via Vrumona Websites, Apps, via third party websites and apps and via advertising networks and social media channels, such as Snapchat, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn;
    • Profiling purposes. This includes amongst others the sharing and combining of personal data of different brands and trademarks of Vrumona to establish a profile, so we can adjust the content of our Websites and Apps, information, advertisements, products and services better to your behavior and interests.
  • Development and analytical purposes to further develop and enhance our Websites and Apps, for statistical analysis, market research, such as anonymous measurement of response to our promotional actions and campaigns and to send anonymous surveys.

Which personal data does Vrumona collect?

Vrumona processes the following personal data for the abovementioned purposes:

  • Users of Websites and Apps (‘Users’):
    • Personal data, such as name, gender, e-mail address, telephone number and date of birth;
    • Interaction data, such as IP address, surf behavior on Websites and Apps, click behavior, location data, cookie ID and contact with Consumer Service (Consumentenservice).

Quality and liability

When you provide your personal data to Vrumona, you are responsible for the accuracy of your personal data and to make sure that your personal data remains accurate and up to date. Vrumona is, except for gross negligence or unlawful intent, not liable for errors, consequences or activities taken as a result of inaccurate or incomplete information that you provided to us.

To whom does Vrumona disclose your personal data?

Vrumona solely discloses personal data to third parties when it is justified and if so, in a justifiable manner. Personal data can be transferred to third parties, if you have given your consent or if this is permitted under the Dutch Data Protection Act. Vrumona discloses your personal data for example to police, justice or fraud investigating organizations, if that is necessary to comply with a legal requirement or legitimate interest of Vrumona.

How long does Vrumona store your personal data?

Vrumona stores personal data no longer than strictly necessary for abovementioned purposes. The retention period for personal data however depends on the purpose for which the personal data are processed. Several personal data must, for fiscal reasons, be stored for a period of seven years. When your personal data is no longer necessary, they will be anonymized or deleted.

What does Vrumona do with cookies?

What are cookies and similar techniques?

A cookie is a small text file sent to your browser (computer, tablet or smart phone) by a Website you visit. Via this text file data are being stored or consulted. These text files could contain personal data. These (personal) data allow recognition for a next visit to that particular Website.

JavaScripts and web beacons are examples of similar techniques, which, together with cookies, enable a system to collect information (JavaScripts), store them in small and simple text files (cookies) and subsequently enable them to send that information (web beacons). A Software Development Kit (SDK) is an example of a similar technique. For which purposes does Vrumona store Cookies?

Our Websites and Apps can store Cookies for the following purposes:

  • Technical Cookies. These Cookies are necessary to provide the requested service and to enable the technical features of our Websites, Apps, services or resources.
  • Functional Cookies. These Cookies are used to provide functionalities when using our Websites, such as the possibility to set preferences on a Website, and other functionalities, whether within the session or not.
  • Analytical Cookies. Vrumona uses Google Analytics and other analytical cookies in a privacy friendly manner, to analyze how visitors use our Websites and Apps. These Cookies enable Vrumona to optimize the usability of the Websites and Apps and make the Websites and Apps more user-friendly.
  • Advertisement or tracking Cookies. Vrumona uses Cookies for commercial and promotional purposes. The (personal) data that are collected via these Cookies can be matched, analyzed and used for creation of profiles, for segments and for a certain audience to show as relevant as possible and personalized advertisements on Websites, Apps and other marketing channels - either Vrumonas’ own or external parties’ channels. Vrumona allows external parties to place tracking Cookies on its Websites and Apps (further: ‘third party cookies’). Prior to placement of third party cookies, we ask your consent. With these cookies your internet- and surf behavior can be followed over various domains and websites. The (personal) data that are collected via third party cookies are subject to the privacy and cookie statements of those particular external parties. Vrumona does not have any influence on their data processing.

For which domains does Vrumona ask for consent to place Cookies?

Vrumona asks per Website (per domain) whether you accept Cookies. You don’t give your consent for all Websites, brands and tradenames of Vrumona at once.

Which (personal) data does Vrumona collect via Cookies?

Vrumona collects your IP and MAC address (where possible anonymized), surf- and click behavior, cookie identifiers, technical characteristics (such as the browser you use and the computer’s screen resolution), from which webpage you enter Vrumona Websites, when and for what time period you visit or use our Websites and Apps, whether you use functionalities of our Websites and Apps, which webpages of our Websites you visit and which screens of the Apps you watch.

How can you resist Cookies?

How can you exercise your privacy rights?

Right to access, correction or deletion of personal data

You can send your request regarding access, correction or deletion to Vrumona. You can do this via our contact form. Please state clear in the subject that your request concerns a privacy matter, and more specific whether it is a request regarding access, correction or deletion on the basis of article 35 or 36 Wet bescherming persoonsgegevens (Dutch Data Protection Act). Bear in mind that under circumstances Vrumona can request for additional information to determine your identity.

Right to object

You have a right to object to our use of your personal data. If you inform us that you do not longer wish to be approached (via a certain medium), Vrumona will move your information to a separate file. Your data will no longer be used for the abovementioned purposes. You can request this via the contact form of Consumer Service (Consumentenservice). Please state clearly that your request concerns a privacy matter and more specifically that you exercise your right to object on the basis of article 40 or 41 Wet bescherming persoonsgegevens (Dutch Data Protection Act).

When is this Privacy & Cookie Statement last revisited?

Vrumona reserves the right to make adjustments to this Privacy & Cookie Statement. You are solely responsible to keep up to date of the latest version of this Privacy & Cookie Statement. Therefore, Vrumona advises you to frequently check whether adjustments have been made. If you don’t agree (any longer) with (adjustments to) this Privacy & Cookie Statement, you will no longer be able use our services, Websites and Apps.
